Who We Are and What We Do
WAVE was formed in 2015, we are a community group who give immediate support to victims of domestic abuse.
Assisting and supporting male and female victims of domestic abuse with applications for non molestation orders and if necessary applications for occupation orders.
We will encourage and support victims to proceed with criminal proceedings and WAVE will be there every step of the way to encourage and support you through this journey. WAVE are there to hold your hand at every stage of the criminal process too.
We welcome everyone to WAVE regardless of gender, sexuality or ethnicity. We are here for you.
We will assist and support you with obtaining a non-molestation order and if necessary an occupation order. It is the case that we can continue to support you through the court process through the criminal court and family court.
We can also pair you up with a WAVE buddy who may be there to support you. They will meet up with you in the community for a walk in the park, a cuppa and a chat and attending appointments (dependent on covid restrictions). That Buddy will be there for however long you need, who we hope will become a friend after the process.
In the event you require legal advice, should the court process require need for future hearings or hearings in relation to child/children matters, we will supply you with a list of local solicitors firms who have offices in your area. The choice is always yours
